PRIVILEGED ENVIRONMENT

The campsite is located on the beach which takes its name, feted with the blue flag of the EEC and where you can practice all kinds of sports, especially surfing and diving. Surrounded by a beautiful natural setting, proximity to other landmarks such as the Eo River, where you can go sailing or kayaking, or mountain forested landscapes make it a place with many opportunities to relax and enjoy the beach and other many activities, like riding a bike and go, starting from the campsite, the fun of bike lane route that stretches several kilometers in the area. The campsite is just a short distance from Castropol, Figueras, Ribadeo and Tapia and less than half an hour of Taramundi and Los Oscos, places to visit for its history, diversity and beauty.

NATURAL MONUMENT

The beach is Penarronda Natural Monument for its dunes, where there are unique plant species like Malconia Asturias littorea. The shell-shaped beach, has 800 m in length and is nestled between two cliffs, La Robaleira and Punta del Cornoy, where you can enjoy the scenery and sunsets from spectacular viewpoints. Practically in the middle of the beach is “El Castelo”, a circular ridge pierced by a tunnel. In this large rock taken to the beach its name: "Peña redonda (round rock)", who in the translates as "Penarronda. " The protected area amounts to 34 ha., and his wealth comes from the dunes that make up much of the protected area and are difficult to find in the north, giving it a unique wealth of flora and fauna. Natural Monument on October 3, 2002 and retaken by the Environment in 2006 and 2007, is one of the most beautiful beaches of Asturias.
